Requirements
- Post-graduate qualification recognised by the Accreditation Board of Maldives.
- Completed Advanced Training and registered to practise as a Consultant in the country of origin.
- Minimum 6 years' experience post specialty.
- Documented experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, attending deliveries including vaginal, assisted and caesarean section.
- Experience in laparoscopic surgery is an added advantage.
- Experience in international and multi-cultural environment is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
- Must be polite, enthusiastic and have a pleasant personality.
- Ability to work autonomously and share information with the team.

Responsibilities
- 01Provides general obstetric and gynaecological care according to the standard of care and evidence based medicine.
- 02Provides all types of consulting related to women's reproductive system, including infertility problems.
- 03Updates records of patients' information, including medical histories, reports, symptoms and examination findings.
- 04Reviews and interprets incoming reports (e.g. lab, x-ray, ECG) in a timely manner.
- 05Defines diagnosis, prescribes medications and gives alternative treatment options to patients.
- 06Performs general gynaecological and obstetric surgical procedures, using minimally invasive and traditional techniques.
- 07Provides health care to pregnant women in prenatal, natal and postnatal periods.
- 08Monitors progress of labour and reads and interprets cardiotocography (CTG).
- 09Performs caesarean sections and other surgical procedures as needed and in a timely manner.
- 10Participates in regular on-call coverage (day and night).
