Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in food and beverage at a 5-star luxury hotel or resort.
- Must be available from 01 December 2026 to 28 February 2027.
- Certification in Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) level 2.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; fluency in additional languages will be an advantage.
- Proactive and focused attention on guest needs, whilst always remaining calm and courteous.
- Previous experience with Leading Quality Assurance Standards and Forbes Travel Guide standards will be an advantage.
- Familiar with the HACCP standards in food handling and the MICROS POS system.
- Pleasant and charming personality with excellent grooming.

Responsibilities
- 01Demonstrates a high degree of Velaa's culture and service standards and reflects the values of Velaa Private Island.
- 02Provide a consistent and high-quality personalised food and beverage service to all the guests, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
- 03Efficiently and accurately take orders according to Velaa service standards.
- 04Coordinate service with colleagues and work as a team.
- 05Maintain a clean, organised, safe and orderly work area and follow the HACCP and general hygiene standards and operating procedures.
- 06Create a comforting environment for guests and work on making personalised and memorable special moments for all guests.
