An Assistant Chief Engineer for a luxury resort on a private island in the far south of the Maldives. The role involves managing engineering operations and maintenance planning.

What you would do
- Manage engineering operations and maintenance planning
- Oversee asset management and preventive maintenance programmes
- Control maintenance budgets and operational costs
- Motivate, train and develop engineering teams
- Work effectively across departments
- Implement sustainability and energy conservation initiatives
What they are looking for
- Degree, Diploma, or Professional Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or Building Services Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in a luxury resort, hotel, hospitality, or similar environment
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, generators, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, fire life safety systems, and preventive maintenance programmes
- Good understanding of local building codes, safety standards, environmental regulations, and energy management practices
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop engineering teams
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities
