About the role
An experienced Chef de Partie specialising in Japanese cuisine is needed to join the culinary team at Soneva Secret, an ultra-exclusive luxury resort in the Maldives.

What they are looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Japanese cuisine, preferably within an ultra-luxury hotel, resort, or high-end restaurant
- Strong knowledge of traditional and contemporary Japanese culinary techniques
- Excellent understanding of Japanese ingredients, seasonality, sourcing, storage, and preparation
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and kitchen sanitation standards
- Ability to maintain consistent quality, presentation, portion control, and plating standards
- Passion for creating personalised and memorable dining experiences for discerning guests
- Ability to adapt dishes and menus to individual guest preferences, dietary requirements, and allergies
- Good knowledge of Japanese culinary culture and dining etiquette
- Good understanding of wine, sake, shochu, and Japanese beverage pairings
- Flexible, hands-on, and willing to support different culinary operations based on business and guest requirements
