Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Participating practically in the work in the diagnostic assessment of service users, providing treatment, identifying symptoms, and counselling for care planning.
  2. Conducting individual behavioural observations and assessments of service users.
  3. Examining and studying reports prepared relating to service users for the purpose of increasing knowledge and experience in the field of work.
  4. Assisting psychologists in implementing and continuing treatment and intervention programmes for service users.
  5. Carrying out administrative work related to service provision.
  6. Assisting in the implementation of psychological assurance programmes.
Post requirements

Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor's Honours degree in National Qualifications Framework Level 7 or 8 from the Maldivian national qualifications.

Licences and training required to be completed upon appointment to the post

Possession of a licence registered with the Maldives Allied Health Council

(b) A copy of educational certificates and transcripts issued by domestic secondary education institutions in the Maldives; or a copy of a course completion letter and a copy of the transcript

  1. Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:

(a) If employed in a Civil Service post, in a state institution, in a government-funded organisation, a letter issued by that office stating the job held, the duration of employment (showing years, months and days), and the job responsibilities (even if different posts were held in one department).

(b) A letter issued by that office stating the duration of employment (showing years, months and days) and the job responsibilities (even if different posts were held in one department) for work not shown in https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/ from within Civil Service experience.

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(c) If employed in a national or international organisation or association, a letter issued by that organisation stating the job held, the duration of employment (showing years, months and days), and the job responsibilities (even if different posts were held in one department) (this letter must state whether the post held was a salaried position or not, or alternatively a formal letter issued by that organisation stating this fact).

(b) If you have worked in an authorised government institution, or an authorised private company or private institution, or an authorised national or international organisation or association, then you must provide the job held and the duration of the job (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the job (even if you have worked in different posts in one institution) provided by that office, or if you do not obtain a written statement from the office, then reference letters indicating experience at the authorised workplace in schedule 8 of the recruitment principles.
