Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. To carry out all administrative work of the National Urology Centre as directed by the Head of Department.
  2. To monitor the work of staff working in the administrative office of the National Urology Centre.
  3. To obtain the items required for the administrative office of the National Urology Centre by indent from the store.
  4. To participate in meetings held by the National Urology Centre and to prepare meeting minutes.
  5. To prepare and send circulars/memos and similar items that need to be sent to other departments on behalf of the National Urology Centre with the approval of the Head of Department to the relevant parties.
  6. To prepare and send replies to circulars/memos and similar items received by the National Urology Centre to the relevant parties.
  7. To monitor the work of Clinical Assistants/Receptionists working at the National Urology Centre.
  8. To enter, file and manage circulars and emails received by the National Urology Centre, to reply to circulars and emails, and to prepare and send documents that need to be sent from the Department to the relevant parties.
  9. To enter and manage duty rosters of staff working at the National Urology Centre into the system.
  10. To provide information relating to inventory details of assets held at the National Urology Centre to relevant parties.
  11. To look after the office building and to coordinate with relevant parties regarding all maintenance work of the building.
  12. To ensure that all matters relating to patients seeking healthcare at the National Urology Centre or Department are handled properly and to supervise and maintain those matters.

Educational level and work experience

  1. 1. Having obtained a Master's degree at Level 9 of the Maldivian National Qualifications Framework in a field relevant to the work of the post.

  1. Having obtained a degree at Level 7 or 8 of the Maldivian National Qualifications Framework or a Bachelor's Honours degree in a field relevant to the work of the post, along with 4 years of work experience in the field of the post's work.

Scope of work of the post:

Work related to administrative management and administration, human resources, finance and related technical work, and study and administrative work.

(NOTE: If the applicant holds a qualification related to a core discipline or preferred discipline, such applicant shall be awarded points allocated to the core /preferred discipline in the criteria.)

Documents to submit

  1. Complete civil service employment application form (this form can be obtained from the Civil Service Commission website https://www.csc.gov.mv/Policy/Index/51 and from Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital's website http://igmh.gov.mv and the counter on the 11th floor of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital).
  2. Details of the applicant (including contact phone number and email address).
  3. A readable copy of both sides of the card proving that the applicant is a Maldivian citizen (even if the validity period has expired), or if the ID card is lost, the applicant's birth certificate, passport or driving licence.
  4. If a staff member with a service agreement to serve the Civil Service / Government is transferred to this position, a letter issued by the office providing the service stating that there is no objection to leaving the position.
  5. Copies of educational certificates obtained;

(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.

  1. Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.

(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
