About the role

An experienced Ayurvedic Doctor is sought to join the Wellness team at Soneva Fushi, creating personalised wellness journeys integrating traditional Ayurvedic practices with modern wellbeing.

What you would do

  • Conduct in-depth Ayurvedic consultations and develop personalised care plans based on individual guest needs and lifestyle goals.
  • Deliver Ayurvedic treatments and therapies to the highest professional standards.
  • Promote preventive health, lifestyle interventions, and holistic wellbeing practices.
  • Lead and oversee Ayurveda operations within the spa, ensuring exceptional standards of service, hygiene, and guest experience.
  • Train, coach, and mentor wellness hosts on Ayurvedic principles and practices.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative wellness programmes and personalised guest experiences.
  • Manage Ayurveda-related inventory, products, and operational requirements.
  • Participate in guest events, presentations, and wellness initiatives to promote Ayurvedic practices and offerings.

What they are looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is essential; a Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Ayurvedic Doctor or Senior Consultant.
  • Experience within luxury hospitality or high-end wellness clinics serving an international clientele.
  • Deep understanding of Ayurveda and integrative wellness approaches.
  • Strong ability to conduct personalised consultations and build trusted guest relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests confidentially and authentically.
  • High emotional intelligence, empathy, discretion, and commitment to guest confidentiality.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to promote appropriate wellness programmes and experiences.
  • Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Experience working in remote or resort environments is desirable.
