About the role

What you would do

• Respond to patients' medical problems by reviewing their history, physical examination and investigations, reaching a probable diagnosis, appropriate evidence…
• Identify and treat major neurological system diseases and disorders such as central nervous system infection, cranio-spinal trauma, dementia, and stroke
• Perform or interpret the outcomes of procedures or diagnostic tests such as lumbar punctures, electroencephalography, electromyography, and nerve conduction…
• Interpret the results of neuroimaging studies such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography…
• Prescribe or administer medications, such as anti-epileptic drugs, and monitor patients for behavioural and cognitive side effects
• Evaluate patient through questions, examinations, memory tests, or movement activities
• Set patient goals and discuss a treatment plan
• Maintain detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests and/or treatments prescribed, and test results

What they are looking for

• Board Certified or Unencumbered License or registration from home country
• Minimum Post Graduate Specialist Degree in Neurology
• Minimum 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities
• Additional Fellowship/Boards preferred
• Adaptable and able to work in a multicultural team
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English
