What you would do

• Coordinate with consultants on procurement requirements and approvals.
• Review drawings, specifications and BOQs, verify quantities and prepare procurement schedules aligned with the construction programme.
• Submit material selections, samples and cost comparisons, following up on pending approvals.
• Identify and evaluate overseas suppliers for construction materials, finishes, fittings and equipment.
• Obtain quotations, compare technical and commercial offers, calculate landed costs and negotiate terms within delegated authority.
• Obtain required approvals and prepare accurate purchase orders.
• Monitor production, quality, shipping, import documentation and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Finance, suppliers, logistics and site teams to resolve delays, shortages, damages and warranty issues.
• Monitor procurement costs against budgets and assess the impact of changes or substitutions.
• Update the Bison Project Manager on progress, pending approvals, delivery risks and cost implications.

What they are looking for

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
• Experience in construction procurement, preferably involving international suppliers.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and BOQs and evaluate quantities and costs.
• Understanding of international trade terms, shipping processes and import documentation.
• Strong communication, negotiation, coordination and Excel skills.
