Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Identifying the education and training needed to enhance the skills and abilities of the administration's employees, obtaining education and training opportunities, and carrying out the work of providing the necessary education and training to the employees.
  2. In accordance with the "Civil Service Staff Training Policy" published by the Civil Service Training Institute, to prepare a "Training Plan" in the office and to prepare Gap Analysis Form, Training Needs Analysis and Training Plan Form.
  3. To prepare a Training Requirement Form according to the format provided by the Civil Service Training Institute and send it to that Institute.
  4. To prepare a Training Evaluation Report in accordance with what is stated in the Civil Service Staff Training Policy.
  5. To carry out all the work required to send staff to training, seminars and workshops available from N.C.I.T within and outside the Maldives.
  6. During the probation period of staff related to this office, to implement the "Programme to Develop Competence for Civil Service Employment" as described in the relevant personal file regarding that matter.
  7. To assist in preparing the H.R. Section Action Plan and to carry out all the work required to implement the tasks in the Action Plan.
  8. To prepare responses to RTI and other documents that the H.R. Section is required to respond to.
  9. To inform staff of various notifications and to prepare documents that the Section is required to prepare.
  10. To carry out the tasks required to submit information needed for the annual report of each year by the deadline for submission.
  11. To work with M.D.S. staff to complete other tasks in the Mandate.
Requirements of the post

To hold a degree or Bachelor's Honours degree at Level 7 or 8 of the Maldives National Qualifications Framework in a field related to the post's work.

  4. If a staff member with a service agreement to serve the Civil Service / Government is transferred to this position, a letter issued by the office providing the service stating that there is no objection to leaving the position.
  5. Copies of educational certificates obtained;

(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.

  1. Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.

(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
