What you would do

• Repair and maintain air conditioning units, cold rooms, freezer rooms, refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Check refrigerant and gas levels, perform gas top ups and carry out motor bearing replacements when required.
• Identify, troubleshoot and rectify electrical and mechanical defects safely and efficiently.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, particularly critical cold room and freezer room issues and support major hotel breakdown recovery.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area, cordon off work areas when required and keep the supervisor and engineer updated on daily maintenance activities.

What they are looking for

• Previous experience in air conditioning, refrigeration or hotel engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration systems, cold rooms, freezer rooms and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to identify and rectify mechanical and electrical defects effectively.
• Good knowledge of workplace safety, equipment handling and safe maintenance practices.
• Good teamwork, communication skills and ability to respond to breakdowns.
