Main responsibilities and duties of the post
- All administrative matters involved in implementation must be carried out under the guidance of the Secretary General or Supervisor.
- Being fully accountable to the Council and Secretary General in all matters related to office work and implementation of Council decisions
- All administrative and technical works of the Council office must be carried out under the guidance of the Supervisor.
- Keeping the roads marked with tar and lime clean.
- Clearing drains, rubbish bins and accumulated garbage.
- Clearing litter from the stadium and roads around the stadium.
- Arranging for the disposal of waste collected from certain areas to the dump.
- Clearing parks of litter and collecting garbage.
- Clearing stones that have fallen on the road.
- Removing blocked waste on the road and cleaning the road.
- Cleaning roads that need to be maintained by the office.
- Carrying out the tasks assigned by the Department immediately in the event of any emergency situation arising.
- Performing work that the staff in the section are unable to carry out due to being on leave or holiday.
- Participating in and carrying out various tasks assigned by the office.
- Carrying out road maintenance work and preparing road reports.
- Clearing garbage from the lagoon area.
- Carrying out work to prevent flooding during the rainy season.
- Carrying out work to separate and remove waste from the island in the event of flooding in the island.
- Arranging the work schedule of the staff.
Requirements of the post
- Holding a Level 3 qualification in the relevant field from Maldives National Qualifications Framework or
- Having at least 05 years of work experience in the relevant field

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.
- Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:
(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.
(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.
(b) If employed in a Government established agency, or a registered private company or private agency, or a registered national or international organisation or association, the written confirmation issued by the office stating the position held, duration of employment and (in years, months and days), and job responsibilities (even if work has been carried out in different positions in different departments of one agency), or if no such written confirmation can be obtained, the 'Reference Check Form for Job Applicant' in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
