Main responsibilities and duties of the post
- Performing all tasks of the General Administration Section under the direction of the Director General and the head of division of the Health Protection Agency.
- Ensuring coordination of transport, logistics, security and maintenance services to continue uninterrupted, and providing all necessary support related to these services to the divisions and departments of the Ministry.
- Arranging necessary official trips related to the work of the Health Protection Agency and maintaining related records and attending to all matters necessary for the safety of travelers.
- Overseeing clearance of shipments from abroad and managing the work of importing goods in accordance with the set timeline and procedures.
- Maintaining and servicing office buildings and equipment and maintaining equipment related to the Ministry of Health in coordination with relevant department divisions.
- Making arrangements to manage correspondence received by the Health Protection Agency and making arrangements to send correspondence to the required recipients.
- Reports and documents to be prepared by the work department should be prepared by the division and maintained according to established principles and reported.
- Organizing and managing the work of keeping all premises under the Health Protection Agency and the agency open.
- With the assistance of the Deputy Director General of the Division, arranging to maintain a register of the department's assets.
- With the assistance of the Deputy Director General of the Division, arranging to manage the general stock required for the daily operation of the department without shortage.
- Arranging to keep all premises under the Health Protection Agency and the agency clean and well-maintained.
- Managing and maintaining vehicles under the Health Protection Agency, and arranging and managing the work of maintaining vehicles according to regulations and carrying out repairs when necessary.
- Managing the budget of the Health Protection Agency and the money received and expenditures in accordance with the Financial Law of the Maldives and regulations.
- Ensuring that the IT (hardware and software) required by the Health Protection Agency is maintained and available on a daily basis.
- Monitoring and addressing problems that arise in the systems used by the Health Protection Agency staff on a daily basis.
- Participating in other work related to the official work of the office and carrying out such work. And practically participating in work that needs to be done in health emergencies, pandemics and disasters.
- Preparing guidelines related to the section's mandate and preparing and revising scopes, and preparing, revising and implementing guidelines and scopes and implementing guidelines and SOPs.
Requirements of the post
- A Doctoral degree at level 10 of the Maldives National Qualifications Framework in a field related to the work of the post, and having worked for at least 2 years in the field of practice related to the work of the post.
Or
- A Master's degree at level 9 of the Maldives National Qualifications Framework in a field related to the work of the post, with 4 years of work experience in the field of work of the post. And among those periods having worked for at least 2 years in the field of practice related to the post.
Or
- A degree at level 7 or 8 of the Maldives National Qualifications Framework in a field related to the work of the post or a Bachelor's Honours degree, with 8 years of work experience in the field of work of the post. And among those periods having worked for at least 2 years in the field of practice related to the post.

(b) Copy of educational certificates issued by secondary education institutions in the Maldives and a copy of the transcript; or a copy of the letter of course completion and a copy of the transcript: (Course completion letters (Course Completion Letter) from the Maldives National University, the Islamic University of Maldives, the Civil Service Training Institute and secondary education institutions in the Maldives, validated by the Maldives Qualifications Authority, will be considered only if the letter includes the letter of authority given to that institution to issue documents signed by "Batch Validated" by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.)
- Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:
(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.
(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.
(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
