Main responsibilities and duties of the post
- Carry out, in various tasks and under the guidance of the supervisor, the administrative and technical duties of the office, including extended hours on call, in line with the relevant laws and regulations and the office mandate, reviewing and completing them.
- Complete the work of the Director General's Secretariat and manage meetings, and give the Director General a written summary of daily tasks in a confidential system, by coordinating the work that requires consultation.
- In line with the Tuberculosis Control Act 2012/04 and other relevant laws and regulations, take decisions in line with the master plan and the various operational action plans, prepare drafts or documents for review, and carry out work with national and international stakeholders, taking guidance and considering the work as assigned and in line with a set framework.
- In line with the financial law and regulations, prepare the annual budget and supplementary budget draft in advance, and manage the procurement, use, issue, handover, inventory of goods, maintenance and housekeeping work under the guidance of the rules, taking on the responsibility of managing and reviewing so that services are not interrupted and items are not out of stock.
- Complete and check portals and sheets that relate to the various operational areas of the office, and after reviewing the weekly, monthly and annual office reports from different parties and confirming accuracy, publish them once approval is received, and decide quickly on informing all employees of the laws, regulations and operations in progress.
- Update the service charter, circulars and announcements in line with the regulations, consider complaints and suggestions related to service, arrange general meetings with service recipients, and respond to service recipients after resolving those matters with approval from the administration. Maintain an easy-to-use system in the office for carrying out these tasks and keep it fully functional.
- Draft letters such as memos, emails, replies, information and proposals, and maintain a robust system for receiving all official correspondence into the administration and sending it to various parties after approval from the head of the office, ensuring the security of all correspondence and giving daily reports to the supervisor of these tasks.
- After approval, handle and review administrative matters, resolve issues, manage the secretariat of committees and notify employees of matters that must be communicated, completing such matters promptly after submitting them to the supervisor.
- Carry out information technology, aviation, blood donation activities, monitor and facilitate blood safety, and complete and carry out work relating to e-mail, hotlines and social media monitoring and strengthening, and assist where needed.
- Prepare a contingency draft plan to provide uninterrupted services provided by the office, and carry out and maintain the responsibilities of leading, after consultation and taking guidance, the work in all matters relating to sample and goods and blood delivery, use and maintenance of machinery and resources, disinfection, medical supplies and the condition of patients, in order to speed up and strengthen services.
- Complete and monitor the technical and administrative tasks handled by the Director General of Blood Services, both personally and through employees, promptly.
- Arrange, complete, carry out and maintain, under the Director General's direction, duty and attendance arrangements, traffic management, disciplinary action and direct supervision of the work of administrative employees, attendants, various support staff, security, maintenance staff, drivers, public relations and clinical aides within the scope of the office's work.
Educational Qualifications and Work Experience
- Hold an Level 10 doctoral degree in a field related to the post, recognised under the Maldives National Qualifications Framework. Also have worked for at least 2 years in a management field related to the post.

- Hold a Level 9 master's degree in a field related to the post, recognised under the Maldives National Qualifications Framework, and have 4 years of work experience in the field of the post. Of that period, at least 2 years must have been in a management field.
Or
- Hold a Level 7 or 8 degree or a bachelor's honours degree in a field related to the post, recognised under the Maldives National Qualifications Framework, and have 8 years of work experience in the field of the post. Of that period, at least 2 years must have been in a management field.

Scope of duties of the post
- Administrative management related work, administration, human resources and finance related managerial work and technical work, research and analysis work and administrative tasks.

- Copies of educational certificates obtained;
(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.
(h) A copy of the tertiary education certificate issued by a higher education institution in the Maldives and its transcript; or a copy of the course completion letter and its transcript: (Except for the Maldives National University and the Islamic University of Maldives, a course completion letter (course completion letter) issued by a higher education institution in the Maldives shall be considered if the letter includes the approval number granted to that institution by the Maldives Qualifications Authority to issue certificates to graduates after a batch validation.)
6. Copies of documents as specified below demonstrating work experience:
(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
