Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Assessing the health or physical condition of service users and identifying their needs, and working in collaboration with other professionals.
  2. Investigating issues of child abuse or neglect, and taking protective measures in relation to these matters as authorised.
  3. Assisting service users in vulnerable situations to recover from physical or psychological difficulties, providing financial assistance, legal assistance, counselling, and helping to ensure access to services such as employment and education.
  4. Supporting service users and families affected by dependencies, vulnerable, and in need of assistance to live independently through individual and group sessions.
  5. Assisting in recognising and supporting the service user or family member, and helping to organise support groups to help with supporting and treating the service user or family member.
  6. Advocating on behalf of the service user to resolve problems that have developed for the service user.
  7. Identifying risks that may develop for the service user or family member as a result of society through reviewing interviews and family member records.
  8. Follow up by planning client or patient care and rehabilitation, co-ordinating consultation dates and using social work experience, and arranging follow-ups to ascertain the benefits of the service.
  9. Modifying care plans according to changes in the client's condition.
  10. Monitoring, evaluating and recording the client's progress according to the minimum standards and principles outlined in care and care plans.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.

  1. Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.
