Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Responsibility and accountability to the Council and the Secretary General in all matters relating to the work of the Council's administration.
  2. To fully assist in implementing the decisions approved by the Council, and to perform all administrative tasks required in implementing such decisions under the guidance of the Secretary General or the Supervisor.
  3. To carry out all tasks related to preschool services provided by the Council administration.
  4. To prepare lesson plans and other documents related to teaching, and upon obtaining approval from the leading teacher assigned by the school management after consultation, to obtain approval.
  5. To arrive at the classroom 15 minutes before the scheduled teaching time, to arrange classroom matters that need to be arranged, and to conduct classes at the assigned time.
  6. To provide information required to be provided by the preschool, to organise meetings, and to prepare and send required documents.
  7. To prepare, update and maintain parents' portfolios and to file and maintain other documents.
  8. To organise all events held by the preschool and to conduct them, and to implement events held according to the advice of the person assigned to manage the preschool at the time, the Council and the Secretary General.
  9. To complete and submit request forms to the relevant administrative office for obtaining all items needed for the preschool, in accordance with financial regulations.
  10. To carry out all tasks required for conducting training programmes that teach education and skills to adults, according to the supervisor, Secretary General and Council.

Requirements of the post

To have passed O Level or equivalent examination with a grade of 'D' or above in 2 subjects, and to have obtained a grade of 'C' or above in the subject 'Dhivehi' in Secondary School or Higher Secondary School Certificate examination.

Documents to submit

  3. A readable copy of both sides of the card proving that the applicant is a Maldivian citizen (even if the validity period has expired), or if the ID card is lost, the applicant's birth certificate, passport or driving licence.
  4. If a staff member with a service agreement to serve the Civil Service / Government is transferred to this position, a letter issued by the office providing the service stating that there is no objection to leaving the position.
  5. Copies of educational certificates obtained;

(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.

1. Copies of documents within the following minimum qualifications demonstrating work experience:

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.

(b) If employed in a Government established agency, or a registered private company or private agency, or a registered national or international organisation or association, the written confirmation issued by the office stating the position held, duration of employment and (in years, months and days), and job responsibilities (even if work has been carried out in different positions in different departments of one agency), or if no such written confirmation can be obtained, the 'Reference Check Form for Job Applicant' in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
