An announcement is hereby made to recruit staff for the post described below.

Qualification or Requirement
Along with demonstrating the skills/ability to perform the work of the post,
- Being a Maldivian citizen.
- Holding a Level 3 qualification from the repository of national documents of Maldives in the field related to the work of the post. Or,
- Completing Grade 10. Or,
- Completing the National Service Programme of the Maldives.
- Being a person aged 18 years and not exceeding 35 years.
- Being a person in good health to perform the duties of a Prison Officer.
- Not having been convicted of any criminal offence and not being a person prohibited from entering into banned employment.
Responsibilities of the post
- Working in prisons under the guidance of a Supervisor in accordance with Law Number 2013/14 (Law on Prisons and Parole of the Maldives).
Things that may result in rejection of an applicant
- Passing the Physical Fitness and Agility Test to assess the fitness of applicants applying for the position.
- Passing the Medical Examination, interview and Background Assessment given to applicants for this position.
Documents to submit
- A copy of both sides of the card bearing the applicant's Maldivian citizenship readable in a clear manner.
- A certified copy of the original educational certificates received.
- Curriculum vitae (CV) of the applicant
- If a person with an agreement to serve the civil service/government is appointed to a continuing post, a clear copy of the official letter from the office where the employee is working confirming there is no outstanding service obligation between the employee and the office
- If the person has worked previously, a clear copy of the letter issued by the workplace where the work was performed.
- A photograph not older than three months, taken recently.
- Clear copy of driving licence, if licensed to drive a vehicle.
- Police report
Deadline: Matters to be observed when submitting the form
- Applicants for these posts must submit application forms by 18:00 on Thursday, 29 October 2026 through the Service's Main M.C.S Portal https://my.corrections.gov.mv/jobs.
- Applications submitted with incomplete documents, applications submitted by persons who do not meet the requirements, and if the documents submitted are found to be false, the application of that person shall be cancelled.
- Forms will be reviewed only through the M.C.S Portal.
Physical Test and Interview
- The Physical Fitness Test for this post shall be held on any Thursday or Friday beginning from the date of publishing this announcement, depending on the number of applications received.
- The date and location of the interview for this post shall be announced after the Physical Fitness Test.
Shortlisting
- From among the applicants who have applied for this position, those who meet the requirements shall be shortlisted for interview. Applications from persons who do not meet the requirements shall be cancelled.
