Main responsibilities and duties of the post
1. In providing physical, social and psychological care required by patients, develop a nursing care plan in consultation with other health professionals, and provide care according to that plan.
2. Arrange to provide holistic nursing care for patients according to doctors' instructions, provide care with compassion, monitor and evaluate the services provided.
3. Answer questions from patients and their families regarding protection, care and services, by listening carefully.
4. Provide care according to the doctor's written instructions, monitor the patient's condition as it changes during that care, and facilitate specialist health professional services in cases where the patient requires them.
5. Record and maintain information about the patient's health and basic care provided in the recording system.
Registered Nurse, (Public Service Rank 7 - Step 1)1. In providing physical, social and psychological care required by patients, develop a nursing care plan in consultation with other health professionals, and provide care according to that plan.

3. Participate in activities and programmes that promote health literacy and health improvement for children in the care environment and community, and in their implementation.
4. To answer questions asked by children and families of children regarding care, protection and fostering and childcare in a helpful manner.
5. To supervise other health professionals providing personal care to children and other patients and to monitor their work.
6. To provide medical care prescribed for children according to the standard, to monitor how the child's condition changes with the care provided, and to facilitate specialist health professional services for children when such situations arise.
7. To maintain records of the child's health information and information of provided basic care in the recording system.

3. A copy of pages of a Maldivian ID card (Identity Card) showing that the applicant is a Maldivian citizen (even if expired), or written documents that can be read clearly; or if the ID card is not available, a birth certificate, passport or driving licence of that person.
4. For employees with an agreement to serve the civil service or government, if transferring to a permanent post, a letter from the office where the work is being carried out stating that there is no objection to leaving the post.
5. Copies of educational certificates obtained.
(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.
(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.
6. Copies of documents as specified below demonstrating work experience:
(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(b) Work carried out where the experience duration is not visible from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter issued by that office stating the position held, the duration of the post (in years, months and days as applicable), and the responsibilities of the post (even if work has been done in different positions in the same office).
(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.
(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.
(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
