Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Developing and carrying out an action plan so that all age groups in the community can participate in maintaining and promoting good health and fitness (inclusive), and maintaining and managing those programmes.
  2. Keeping records of programmes conducted (indicating gender and age) and submitting a monthly report of conducted and ongoing activities to the Ministry by the 5th of each month.
  3. Carrying out all necessary tasks to maintain the quality of programmes conducted, and making improvements identified in consultation with the supervisor.
  4. If any official documents need to be sent to concerned parties before a programme begins, sharing the information sent at least 2 weeks before with the relevant parties.
  5. Performing all administrative work that needs to be done in connection with activities being carried out and maintaining records of those tasks.
  6. Providing assistance in children's and youth programmes when assistance is required.
  7. Assisting in conducting programmes of the Council that are related to the Ministry's mandate among the programmes conducted by the Council.
  8. Daily monitoring of attendance records maintained in the HR portal of the Ministry, and confirming that attendance has been completed before the 17th of each Gregorian month.
  9. In addition to this, carrying out the tasks required to fulfil the Ministry's mandate as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements of the post

To have passed Secondary School or equivalent examination with a minimum grade of 'D' in 2 subjects and to have obtained a minimum grade of 'C' in 'Dhivehi' in the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination.

Work areas of the post

Tasks of organising and conducting youth development and youth programmes.

3. A copy of the applicant's identity card (even if expired) showing both sides, a legible copy of a written document or ID card if the card is lost, or the applicant's birth certificate, passport or driving licence.

4. A letter from the office from which the employee is leaving the job, if an applicant with an agreement to serve the Civil Service / Government is transferring to this position, stating that there is no objection to leaving the current position.

5. Copies of educational certificates obtained.

(a) Copies of educational certificates and transcripts issued by institutions outside Maldives at the level designated by the Maldives Qualification Authority, or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter of completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcripts issued by secondary education institutions in the Maldives; or copies of the letter of course completion and transcript.

NOTE: Course completion letters (Course Completion Letter) issued by secondary education institutions in the Maldives, excluding the Maldives National University and the Islamic University of Maldives, will be accepted if the letter includes the reference number of the authorisation given by the Maldives Qualifications Authority to the institution to "batch validate" the certificate to the holder.

6. Copies of documents as specified below demonstrating work experience:

(a) A letter from that office stating the job held in a Civil Service position, a state institution, a government-funded organisation, the duration of employment (in years, months and days as appropriate), and the responsibilities of the job (even if employment has been in different positions in one department).

(b) Work carried out where the experience duration is not visible from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter issued by that office stating the position held, the duration of the post (in years, months and days as applicable), and the responsibilities of the post (even if work has been done in different positions in the same office).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(c) If employed in a national or international organisation / association, a letter from that place stating the job held, the duration of employment (in years, months and days as appropriate), and the responsibilities of the job (even if employment has been in different positions in one department) (this letter should state whether the position held was a paid position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that place stating this).

(b) If employed in a dissolved state institution, or a private company or private organisation, or a dissolved national or international organisation or association, a letter from that office stating the job held and the duration of employment (in years, months and days as appropriate), the responsibilities of the job (even if employment has been in different positions in one department), or if such a letter cannot be obtained, the "Applicant Reference Check Form" in Table 8 of the Recruitment Principles.
