- In addition to demonstrating the skills and ability to work in this post, must be proficient in reading and writing Dhivehi. (Proficiency in reading and writing is determined by:
- Demonstrating proficiency in reading and writing at the screening stage or by reference to a certificate issued by a government institution or by reference to a certificate issued by a school showing that Grade 5 or a higher grade has been completed).
2- Must be a person in good health sufficient to perform the work of this post, with skills and ability to work in this post demonstrated.
3- Must be a person between 18 and 65 years of age, with skills and ability to work in this post demonstrated.
4- Must be a person capable of working full-time, with skills and ability to work in this post demonstrated.
Salary for the work
- Monthly salary: MVR 32.08 per hour of work
- Post allowance: MVR 9.63 per hour of work

Scope of duties of the post
- Cleaning of weeds and grass
Responsibilities and duties of the post
- Attendance at the Council office as per the schedule set by the Council office on official working days.
- Maintenance of roads, social boundaries and port boundaries in a clear and orderly manner.
- Maintenance of roads, social boundaries and port boundaries by removing waste accumulated within them.
- Implementation of matters announced by the Council communally.
- Participation in matters implemented by the Council office.
- If there is any violation of rules, regulations and laws within the scope defined by the Council to clarify, report it to the Council without delay.
- Maintenance of roads by clearing and cleaning them.
- Following the principles and procedures set by the Council in accordance with the social boundaries that have been marked.
- Clarification and maintenance of specific matters as needed when the Council announces them.
- Active participation in all work that can be done for the development of the island, and providing support and encouragement to the work.
- To implement the decisions approved by the Council with full support, and to carry out all administrative matters necessary to implement such decisions under the guidance and direction of the Secretary General or Supervisor.
- To provide full support and take responsibility in all matters related to the work of the Council office and the implementation of Council decisions.

2. Details of the person applying for the post (including contact phone number and email address).
3. A copy of pages of a Maldivian ID card (Identity Card) showing that the applicant is a Maldivian citizen (even if expired), or written documents that can be read clearly; or if the ID card is not available, a birth certificate, passport or driving licence of that person.
4. For employees with an agreement to serve the civil service or government, if transferring to a permanent post, a letter from the office where the work is being carried out stating that there is no objection to leaving the post.
5. Copies of educational certificates obtained.
(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.
(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.
6. Copies of documents as specified below demonstrating work experience:
(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(b) Work carried out where the experience duration is not visible from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter issued by that office stating the position held, the duration of the post (in years, months and days as applicable), and the responsibilities of the post (even if work has been done in different positions in the same office).
(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.
(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.
(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.

Interview venue and duration
The interview for this post will be held between 15 October 2026 and 20 October 2026 at the Bilehfahi Council office in Shaviyani Atoll. Applicants shortlisted for this post are requested to be prepared for the interview on those dates.
