Responsibilities and duties of the post
- Maintain and perform maintenance and preventive maintenance work on biomedical equipment used in health service hospitals and centres. This includes immediate breakdown repair work and planned periodic maintenance work.
- Assist in obtaining spare parts, equipment and other tools needed for calibrating, validating, servicing and maintaining biomedical equipment.
- Assist in logging and maintaining records of repair work, preventive maintenance repair work and installation work.
- Inform staff using machinery and equipment of various methods to keep them safe while providing service.
- Provide assistance to relevant staff in conducting inventory of machinery and equipment.
- Maintain machinery safely and service it according to regulations.
- Assist in standardising medical machinery and equipment used in health services.
- Assist in preparing medical equipment service contracts, monitoring them, and sharing supplier performance reports with relevant parties as required.
- Maintain the history of medical machinery and equipment, arrange items needed for repair, send them onwards, keep related documents and perform administrative tasks.
- Practically participate in health emergencies, pandemics and disasters.
Requirements of the post
- Hold a Diploma or Advanced Diploma at Level 5 or Associate Degree at Level 6 of the Maldivian National Qualifications Framework from a field related to the post.

6. Copies of documents that serve as evidence of work experience in the following categories:
(a) If employed in a Civil Service post, in a state institution, or in a state-owned enterprise, a letter issued by that office stating the post held, the period of employment (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (even if employment has been in different posts in one institution).
