Responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Maintaining vehicles stationed at the health centre, arranging repairs, monitoring maintenance work progress and coordinating necessary repairs, registering and maintaining vehicles, coordinating repairs required by the health centre and arranging repairs needed at external workshops.
  2. Organising and maintaining the servicing of items that are regularly serviced under the rules from the equipment in the health centre.
  3. Overseeing work required to keep the health centre and its buildings clean and hygienic.
  4. Updating and maintaining inventory of land, buildings, furnishings, vehicles and assets of the health centre.
  5. Overseeing maintenance and related work for health centre buildings and facilities.
  6. Obtaining and updating medical and general stock requirements for the hospital and maintaining them, and carrying out the work of distributing required items.
  7. Managing the fire alarm system of the health centre and providing necessary information and training for staff safety.
  8. Maintaining the telephone lines and PABX of the health centre.
  9. Carrying out the work required to regularly dispose of items that need to be disposed of from the hospital stock, and carrying out the work required to dispose of items that need to be disposed of.
  10. Ensuring the security maintenance arrangements of the health centre.
  11. Performing administrative work required by the health centre.
  12. Handling all matters relating to the finances of the health centre in accordance with the government finance regulations, maintaining them, monitoring the work of employees carrying out financial work day by day to ensure that the responsibilities of the section are properly carried out, and reviewing and making necessary corrections to ensure that the responsibilities of the section are being carried out by the employees.
  13. Decision-making on matters arising from the budget and matters requiring decision in accordance with laws, regulations and principles, and in accordance with the advice, guidance and coordination of the relevant officer and the established principles.
  14. Preparing statements for bank accounts regarding money deposited and additional funds required, verifying that statements are sent to relevant parties and responses received, and in accordance with government financial law and regulations, providing funds for necessary expenses and checking that reports on disbursed funds are prepared.
  15. Identifying all work required to recruit necessary administrative and technical staff for the health centre, organizing staff and overseeing recruitment.
  16. Performing work and arranging programmes required to orient staff to civil service regulations.
  17. Identifying training needs for staff working at the health centre, preparing training requirements and seeking training opportunities.
  18. Informing staff of general principles and orienting subordinate staff.
  19. Carrying out all work that needs to be done in the form of checking the quality of work of the employees of the health centre in accordance with the "Personal Manual on Checking the Quality of Work of Employees of the Maldivian Civil Service".
  20. Preparing salary sheets by collecting written information and data required for paying salaries to health centre staff and submitting reports to the hospital within the stipulated period once salaries are finalised.
  21. Maintaining staff records according to regulations, updating staff registers and updating staff files.
  22. Providing leaves due to employees working at the health centre, updating leave records day by day, and maintaining how to carry out the work.
  23. Identifying necessary changes to the Hospital Information System used at the health centre, providing information required to resolve issues to the party managing hospital IT matters.
  24. Ensuring arrangements for services provided at the reception counter of the health centre and establishing an appropriate system for maintaining medical records.
  25. Providing items needed to prevent interruption of services provided by the health centre and arranging staff for service delivery work.
  26. Participating actively in work that needs to be done in health emergencies, pandemics and disasters

A master's degree at level 9 of Maldives' national qualifications framework in a field related to the duties of the position.

(b) A copy of the educational certificate and transcript issued by a secondary education institution in the Maldives; or a copy of the letter of course completion and a copy of the transcript. ( Maldivian National University and Islamic University of Maldives and Civil Service Training Institute can accept course completion letters (course completion letter) issued by secondary education institutions in the Maldives if the letter contains the course code that was given permission by the Maldives Qualifications Authority to issue certificates to graduates "batch validated" by the Maldives Qualifications Authority. )

6. Copies of documents as specified below demonstrating work experience:

(a) A letter issued by that office stating the post held in a Civil Service position, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, the duration of the post (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (even if the post was held in different positions in one office) separately.
