Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. For services provided under credit, preparing invoices for daily bills in a manner consistent with the original bills.
  2. Assisting in arranging the duties of teams visiting the health centre and carrying out those tasks forward.
  3. Greeting customers and performing tasks that are handed over from the office when a counter staff member is absent or on leave.
  4. Checking that the documents required for the counter are in order before starting duty
  5. Preparing bills according to the prescribed rates after providing services to ambulance/aid/police and other parties.
  6. Assisting in the outreach programmes run by the Public Health Unit.
  7. Placing notices on the health centre's noticeboard so that the public can access all necessary information and regulations.
  8. Registering patients coming to the doctor, issuing them a registration number and maintaining records
  9. Communicating politely and courteously with people coming to the centre, assisting them, speaking clearly and pleasantly, and even when a person speaks in an abusive or hostile manner, completing tasks and assisting them patiently and courteously
  10. Resolving various problems arising in connection with work done at the reception counter and reporting
  11. Working as an interpreter in consultation rooms
  12. Responding to calls coming during duty hours.
  13. Entering office memos daily and preparing daily reports on public memos
  14. Checking the charges for services provided at the centre daily and submitting the budget daily
  15. Not disclosing office secrets and various matters concerning the public that the employee is informed of in the course of their work
  16. Participating actively in activities carried out by the centre in the manner of observing special occasions
  17. Participating actively in work that needs to be done in health emergencies, pandemics and disasters
  18. Providing assistance in all matters necessary to implement and carry out the health centre's work plans and activities
Requirements of the post

A bachelor's degree or an honours degree at level 7 or 8 of Maldives' national qualifications framework in a field related to the duties of the position.

  4. Copies of educational certificates obtained;

(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcripts issued by recognised secondary education centres in the Maldives; or copies of course completion certificates and transcripts. (Maldives National University, Islamic University of Maldives and Civil Service Training Institute are excluded. Course completion letters (course completion letters) issued by recognised secondary education centres in the Maldives will be accepted if the letter contains the batch validation from the Maldives Qualifications Authority and the authorisation to issue documents to candidates with the certification number and date indicated).

  1. Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.

(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
