Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Providing nursing care to patients with compassion, attending to them, and evaluating them.
  2. To provide care for patients' physical, social and mental health needs in line with the nursing care plan, in collaboration with other health professionals.
  3. Arranging holistic nursing care for patients under the guidance of doctors, monitoring and evaluating the services provided with compassion in accordance with this arrangement.
  4. Participation in activities to support children and in programmes aimed at primary health care and health promotion in family and community settings.
  5. Providing responsive answers to questions from patients and their families regarding support, care and nursing care.
  6. Supervising and collaborating with other nurses and other healthcare service providers providing personal care to patients.
  7. Conducting research related to nursing and nursing practice, and sharing information through scientific papers and reports.
  8. Practical participation in work that needs to be done in health emergencies, pandemics and disasters.
  9. Providing medical care as prescribed to patients, monitoring how the patient's condition changes in response to the care provided, and facilitating the involvement of other health professionals when special assistance needed by the patient is required.
  10. Updating medical information about the patient and information on provided basic care in the health information recording system.
  11. Providing information needed to prepare national health plans by maintaining records related to services provided within nursing care.
  12. Providing first aid and assistance in emergency situations.

  5. Copies of educational certificates obtained;

(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.

  1. Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.

(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
