About the role

Silver Sands seeks an experienced Dive Instructor and Marine Biologist to lead PADI courses and guide divers at luxury resorts in the Maldives.

What you would do

• Lead PADI courses at all levels with a professional and friendly approach, ensuring full compliance with PADI standards and regulations
• Guide divers and snorkelers of varying skill levels to local dive sites
• Manage dive reception, handle guest reservations, diver registrations, and issue dive equipment
• Ensure all gear is prepared for students and divers before guest arrivals
• Provide and facilitate the sale of water sports and diving promotional materials and equipment
• Assist in other activities organised and operated by the Dive and Water Sports Centre
• Ensure compliance with PADI safety regulations, local and international diving standards

What they are looking for

• PADI Dive Instructor or higher teaching status required
• Qualified Marine Biologist (minimum BSc) with any experience in coral nurseries
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dive professional
• Proficient in English and additional languages (French, German, Russian or Spanish) are a plus
• Well-groomed and eager to learn and engage in activities such as water sports
• Enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated, flexible, and approachable
• Sales-driven with a strong guest-oriented focus
