About the role

Leads the Human Resources function for the Alila Kothaifaru Maldives resort, also overseeing the Employee Restaurant. Reports to the General Manager.

What you would do

• Drive the resort's colleagues strategy in alignment with Hyatt's purpose and business objectives.
• Partner with the Leadership Committee to attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent.
• Champion colleague engagement, learning and development, wellbeing, and recognition initiatives.
• Lead workforce planning, performance management, succession planning, and organizational development efforts.
• Provide guidance and coaching to leaders on employee relations and people management practices.
• Ensure compliance with local employment legislation, immigration requirements, and Hyatt policies.
• Foster an inclusive and positive workplace culture where colleagues feel valued and empowered.
• Oversee the Employee Restaurant operation, ensuring quality standards, colleague satisfaction, and operational excellence.

What they are looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership experience within luxury hospitality or resort operations.
• Strong working knowledge of Maldives Employment Act, labour regulations, immigration requirements, work permit procedures, and HR compliance practices.
• Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, and colleague engagement.
• Proven ability to manage employee relations matters with professionalism, sound judgement, and confidentiality.
• Strong understanding of compensation and benefits administration, HR policies, and best practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels.
• Experience leading multicultural teams and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
