Main responsibilities and duties of the post
- Driving the administration's vehicle for official work journeys of the administration.
- Maintaining the vehicle's annual registration, road insurance and insurance in accordance with regulations.
- Maintaining the vehicle's mechanical and electrical conditions in accordance with driver regulations.
- Cleaning the inside and outside of the vehicle once daily, maintaining the vehicle cleanliness carefully, and informing the relevant parties to obtain the materials needed for keeping the vehicle clean.
- Checking for any technical problems in the vehicle before starting work for the day and resolving such problems according to prescribed procedures.
- Keeping a record of journeys made with the vehicle.
- Performing all journeys required to be undertaken in the ambulance.
- If circumstances arise where vehicle disinfection is needed, disinfecting the vehicle.
- If the vehicle sustains any damage, notify the office immediately.
- Ensure that all precautions are taken to maintain safety while driving the vehicle.
- Collecting and delivering items from health centres to certain parties and collecting items from certain parties to health centres.
- Maintaining records of expenses for journeys undertaken in the island and daily reception expenses, and handing over to the staff responsible for reception.
- Active participation in work during health emergencies, pandemics and epidemics.
- Requirements of the post
A C2 / C1 / B0 / B2 / B1 category driving licence for a single island vehicle.

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.
