An experienced and highly responsible Assistant or Deputy Purchasing Manager to join Diamonds Athuruga Maldives and take charge of the resort's purchasing department.

What you would do

• Lead and coordinate the resort's purchasing operations
• Ensure timely procurement and competitive pricing
• Maintain quality standards and effective supplier relationships
• Manage the Purchasing Department independently
• Negotiate with suppliers and control costs
• Oversee purchasing for F&B, Engineering, Housekeeping and general resort operations
• Manage purchase orders, quotations, comparative statements and inventory coordination
• Work under pressure and manage urgent operational requirements efficiently

What they are looking for

• Proven experience in a leading or supervisory role in Purchasing within the Maldives, preferably in a luxury resort environment
• Strong knowledge of the Maldives purchasing and supply chain environment, including local suppliers, logistics, imports and resort procurement requirements
• Ability to independently lead and manage the Purchasing Department
• Strong supplier negotiation and cost-control skills
• Experience in purchasing for F&B, Engineering, Housekeeping, Rooms and general resort operations
• Strong knowledge of purchase orders, quotations, comparative statements, inventory coordination and procurement procedures
• Excellent communication, coordination and organisational skills
• Strong computer literacy and experience with purchasing or ERP systems
• Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent operational requirements efficiently
• High level of integrity, accountability and attention to detail
