Requirements of the post

Obtaining a grade D or above in at least 2 subjects in Grade A O-Level or equivalent examinations, and obtaining a grade C or above in Dhivehi in the Secondary School or Higher Secondary School Certificate examinations.

Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Before the doctor starts examining patients, preparing the doctor's room by checking all necessary items that should be in the doctor's room.
  2. Assisting the doctor in examining patients in the order of the number given to the patient coming to the doctor, and responding to phone calls to the doctor's room.
  3. Explaining matters that arise between the doctor and patient clearly to both parties, and assisting the patient during the doctor's examination.
  4. Maintaining the patient's examination details in the patient record according to the doctor's instructions.
  5. Assisting the doctor in conducting various tests on the patient.
  6. Providing information and explaining matters related to the doctors' work and various other related information.
  7. Provide clear and detailed guidance to patients on doctor's advice and how to use the base.
  8. If any complications arise after the doctor has been consulted, inform patients in a clear manner that a doctor will be available again at a scheduled time.
  9. Assist in counter management in cases where there are no staff members available at the counter in the duty O.P.D.

Scope of the post's work:

Work related to administrative management and administration, human resources, finance and related technical work, and study and administrative work.

  2. Details of the applicant (including contact phone number and email address).
  3. A readable copy of both sides of the card proving that the applicant is a Maldivian citizen (even if the validity period has expired), or if the ID card is lost, the applicant's birth certificate, passport or driving licence.
  4. If a staff member with a service agreement to serve the Civil Service / Government is transferred to this position, a letter issued by the office providing the service stating that there is no objection to leaving the position.
  5. Copies of educational certificates obtained;

(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.

  1. Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.

(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
