Main responsibilities and duties of the post
Registered Nurse, (Public Service Rank 5 - Step 1)
- Collaborate with other health professionals and plan, deliver and evaluate holistic nursing care to patients' physical, social and psychological needs.
- Arrange and deliver nursing care in accordance with doctors' instructions in a safe and caring manner, monitor and evaluate the services provided to patients.
- Provide answers to questions from patients and their families regarding care, support and services in a manner that is patient-centred and compassionate.
- Deliver care according to the patient's medical records, monitor and adjust care as the patient's condition changes, and facilitate access to specialist health professionals when required.
- Maintain records of patient health information and information about care provided in accordance with the recording system.
Registered Nurse, (Public Service Rank 7 - Step 1)
- Collaborate with other health professionals and plan, deliver and evaluate holistic nursing care to patients' physical, social and psychological needs.
- Arrange and deliver nursing care in accordance with doctors' instructions in a safe and caring manner, monitor and evaluate the services provided to patients.
- Participate in organising and conducting activities and health education and health promotion programmes for patients in the care environment and community.
- Provide answers to questions from patients and their families regarding care, support and services in a manner that is patient-centred and compassionate.
- Supervise and review the work of other health service staff providing personal care to patients and other individuals.
- Deliver care according to the patient's medical records, monitor and adjust care as the patient's condition changes, and facilitate access to specialist health professionals when required.
- Maintain records of patient health information and information about care provided in accordance with the recording system.

- A readable copy of both sides of the card proving that the applicant is a Maldivian citizen (even if the validity period has expired), or if the ID card is lost, the applicant's birth certificate, passport or driving licence.
- If a staff member with a service agreement to serve the Civil Service / Government is transferred to this position, a letter issued by the office providing the service stating that there is no objection to leaving the position.
- Copies of educational certificates obtained;
(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.
(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.
- Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:
(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(b) From civil service experience, employment in positions whose experience periods are not visible on https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, with the period of employment and (in years, months and days) and responsibilities of the employment (even if employment has been in different positions in one institution) stated separately, certified by that office.
(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.
(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.
(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
