Responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Performing necessary work to obtain equipment that is allocated according to the set limits and procedures.
  2. Ensuring that equipment needed for work is sterilised.
  3. Setting up laboratory equipment and performing necessary maintenance work.
  4. Checking that laboratory requisition forms and specimen tubes are available.
  5. Performing necessary work to obtain biohazard fluid or tissue according to the set limits and procedures.
  6. Examining specimens according to the set limits and procedures for time-bound tests.
  7. Performing tests to be done in the laboratory.
  8. Safely transporting fluid or specimen samples to the laboratory from the collection site or station.
  9. Providing information to staff on the procedure for collecting fluid or specimen samples.
  10. Practical participation in work to be carried out during health emergencies, pandemics and epidemics.

Requirements of the post

  1. Possession of a Diploma at Level 5 of the National Qualifications Framework or an Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree in a field related to the work, accredited by the Maldives Allied Health Council.

(Course Completion Letters (Course Completion Letter) from educational institutions in Maldives, excluding Maldives National University, Islamic University of Maldives and Civil Service Training Institute, are accepted only if the certificate is issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority "Batch Validated" and the letter contains the CITI number authorised to issue documents to participants).

6. Copies of documents that serve as evidence of work experience in the following categories:

(a) If employed in a Civil Service post, in a state institution, or in a state-owned enterprise, a letter issued by that office stating the post held, the period of employment (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (even if employment has been in different posts in one institution).

(b) For work experience not visible in http://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter issued by that office stating the employment held, the period of employment (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (even if employment has been in different posts in one institution).
