Main responsibilities and duties of the post
- Maintaining the office building, child care units, kitchen, storeroom, child use facilities, sitting room, study room and external areas of the F.C.S.C. in a clean condition as set out in the guidelines.
- In addition to food preparation and catering work arranged in accordance with the menu specified for those maintaining the F.C.S.C., maintaining and looking after the kitchen in a clean and tidy manner.
- Catering to requests from children for food and arranging special meals as needed for children who require them.
- Ensuring that items provided to children are items with unexpired dates.
- Responsibility for keeping stock of necessary cooking items and items needed for young children before they run out, and upon notice to the person responsible for stock management, without running out of anything, maintaining stock at the required level for use.
- Assessing the value of items needed for F.C.S.C and collecting and delivering those items from various places.
- Informing relevant parties to assist those who need to be present at the centre for certain matters submitted to F.C.S.C in attending the centre.
- Receiving items sent to F.C.S.C by various parties and delivering items that the centre needs to send to those parties.
- In situations where monitoring and maintenance work needs to be carried out for persons admitted to F.C.S.C under government care, carrying out such work.
- Persons admitted to F.C.S.C are individuals with various physical, mental and social needs and low self-confidence in a vulnerable psychological state, and therefore always avoiding this, being aware of the condition of those persons and as a supporting person, always working for the benefit and welfare of those persons.
- In situations where work needs to be carried out in other departments of the Ministry (F.C.S.C), working under the principles set out.
- Not inflicting any kind of physical or mental abuse or negligence on persons admitted to F.C.S.C and if such abuse is suspected or information is received from a third party, bringing the matter to the attention of management promptly.
- Carrying out all official work in the manner outlined by the office and participating in and carrying out all matters directed and assigned by the office.
- If children admitted to Shelter/Safe House need to be admitted to hospital, staff working at the Family and Children Service Centre shall carry out on-call duties at hospitals according to the principles set, overseeing all matters.

(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.
(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.
- Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:
(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.
(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.
(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
