Main responsibilities and duties of the post
- Before starting dialysis, assembling the dialysis machine, sterilizing and performing proper work.
- Monitoring and adjusting the maintenance of the dialysis machine while it is in use.
- Monitoring and adjusting the patient's fluid withdrawal rate as required.
- Raising awareness of matters to be observed in maintaining the quality of life of people requiring dialysis care.
- Ensuring the patient is in the appropriate position before starting dialysis.
- Attending to emergencies or minor incidents that may arise while providing dialysis care.
- Assisting in providing information to the patient regarding care before and after the procedure.
- Monitoring for any machine problems during dialysis care and any adverse effects on the patient.
- Recording the patient's vital signs after dialysis before the patient leaves. These include temperature, blood pressure, respiratory rate, blood pressure and pulse.

Conditions for the post:
Holders of a degree from a nationally accredited institution in Maldives at Level 7 or Level 8 of the National Qualifications Framework in a field related to the work of the post, or a Bachelor's Honours degree.

Dialysis Service

- It is necessary to obtain the required licences and complete training for the position.
Possession of a licence registered with the Maldives Allied Health Council

- Details of the applicant (including contact phone number and email address).
- A readable copy of both sides of the card proving that the applicant is a Maldivian citizen (even if the validity period has expired), or if the ID card is lost, the applicant's birth certificate, passport or driving licence.
- If a staff member with a service agreement to serve the Civil Service / Government is transferred to this position, a letter issued by the office providing the service stating that there is no objection to leaving the position.
- Copy of current registration certificate
- Copies of educational certificates obtained;
(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.
(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.
- Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:
(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.
(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.
(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
