About the role

Lead the engineering, power plant, and swimming pool maintenance operations at Noku Maldives by Vignette Collection, a luxury resort in the Maldives.

What you would do

• Oversee operations and maintenance of the power plant, reverse osmosis plant, sewage treatment plant, and related equipment.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for the resort's engineering operations, including maintenance, renovations, and new projects.
• Ensure the upkeep and proper functioning of guest and service areas.
• Develop and manage the engineering department budget.
• Recruit, train, and lead engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of the swimming pool, including water treatment and filtration.
• Manage inventory and maintain an organized system for tools, materials, and equipment.

What they are looking for

• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior engineering role, preferably in a luxury resort.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage, mentor, and motivate a diverse team.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
• Strong experience in budget planning, resource allocation, and cost control.
• Solid understanding of sustainable engineering practices and the unique challenges of operating in a tropical climate.
