  • Handling enquiries and providing necessary information to clarify matters to people seeking the service, and with sincerity and providing the service required to be rendered.
  • Responding to phone calls in a courteous manner and providing telephone services in a professional manner
  • Performing all work as required in the designated OPD rooms in accordance with the arrangements made.
  • Recording money received by the hospital as payment for services and maintaining records, and submitting necessary documents to the budget section as required on a daily basis.
  • For services provided under credit, preparing invoices matching the original bills for daily bills to be done.
  • Registering patients coming to see the doctor in the hospital information system and Vinava scheme portal and updating and issuing numbers, and keeping and maintaining all necessary information required by the hospital/office on behalf of the patient.
  • Communicating patients' problems submitted to the doctor to the doctor and communicating to the patient what the doctor has said to inform the patient, and assisting the doctor in documenting base city and other documents.
  • Maintaining files of patients receiving services in the hospital's OD area or preparing and sending reports as required by the hospital's records management procedures (communicable disease reports / NCD reports / medical records) to the designated recipients in accordance with established procedures.
  • Performing duty as arranged and assisting with important work in the hospital, attending to calls related to relieving duties, and handing over the work of greeting staff and staff on leave to the supervising officer as directed.
  • Arranging matters for patients who need to be transferred from the hospital as emergencies to islands/Malé (arranging matters for patients to be transferred through the referral system by liaising with the referral system).
  • Completing consultation room and work-related items every day before work begins, and if any loss or problem arises with equipment and machinery used in work, report it daily without delay to the section head/relevant person.
  • Participating in trips to the islands of the atoll for health service provision if required to do so, and assisting if participated.
  • Not disclosing matters that arise in the work, and not spreading false stories about the hospital and staff and the person.
  • Updating and maintaining the doctor's duty board daily and maintaining documents that need to be displayed on the hospital's notice board for the public, collecting them when the term ends and maintaining the documents to be filed.
  • Checking lights and fans in the hospital's waiting area daily to see if they are functioning properly and reporting to the maintenance section if there is a problem.
  • After showing the way to service-seekers requesting ambulance services and charging the fixed rate, preparing ambulance reports from week to week (from Monday to Sunday) and handing over the report to the staff member doing revenue work and the report before 08:30 every Monday morning.
  • Resolving problems encountered by people seeking the hospital's service if they can be resolved, and informing the section head without delay of problems that cannot be resolved.
  • Reporting important matters and problems that arise during duty and the management of the hospital to relevant persons from time to time.
  • Practically participating in work to be done in health emergencies, pandemics and crises.
