Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Carrying out activities to ensure that the policies of the Ministry of Education and the school curriculum are implemented in an integrated manner.
  2. Improving children's educational standards, nurturing children properly, instilling religious and good moral values in children, and implementing all necessary principles and methods for these purposes.
  3. Preparing and implementing plans related to the school's teaching and administration, and monitoring implementation.
  4. Carrying out all necessary work to provide opportunities for children to participate in additional activities so that they can access enhanced learning.
  5. Carrying out all necessary work to improve the quality of work of the school's academic and administrative staff.
  6. Carrying out all necessary work related to the school's buildings and finances and matters concerning staff in accordance with government regulations.
  7. Monitoring the school's learning and teaching standards, and maintaining aspects of the school's environment so as to provide the best possible learning environment for students.
  8. Carrying out the work of the school's senior management and leading teachers in various subjects.

  5. Copies of educational certificates obtained;

(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.

  1. Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.
