Main responsibilities and duties of the post
1- To plan nursing care for patients in coordination with other health professionals to provide physical, social and psychological care as required by patients and to provide care according to the plan.
2- To arrange for holistic nursing care for patients according to the guidance of doctors, to provide care with compassion, to monitor the services provided and to evaluate them.
3- To respond patiently to questions from patients and their families regarding care, protection, welfare and care.
4- To provide care according to the doctor's notes given to patients, to monitor the patient's condition as it changes and to facilitate the services of specialist health professionals in situations where the patient needs special health professional services.
5- To maintain the record system of the patient's health information and information of basic care provided.
Requirements of the post
Registered Nurse (Public Service Rank 5 - Step 1)
A qualification at Level 5 or 6 of the National Qualifications Framework in the Nursing field, recognised by the Maldives Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Registered Nurse (Public Service Rank 7 - Step 1)
A qualification at Level 7 or 8 of the National Qualifications Framework in the Nursing field, recognised by the Maldives Nursing and Midwifery Council.

- If a staff member with a service agreement to serve the Civil Service / Government is transferred to this position, a letter issued by the office providing the service stating that there is no objection to leaving the position.
- Copies of educational certificates obtained;
(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.
(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.
- Licence or Registration
- Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:
(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.
(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.
(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.

The interview and presentation for this post will be held between 16 October 2026 and 16 November 2026 at M. Mulah Health Centre.
