Main responsibilities and duties of the post
- Stocking the hospital with medical consumables and issuing items to the required locations according to regulations.
- Obtaining stock by communicating with relevant parties regarding medical consumables.
- Placing orders for full stock of the hospital according to regulations.
- Maintaining inventory of items needed in storage.
- Issuing items according to the established regulations for stocking and maintaining hospital documents and other materials by obtaining required items and stocking them.
- Checking stock items are not issued from stock and storing items brought into stock.
- Not issuing items to unauthorised persons.
- Completing and maintaining records kept under the rules set for expired items.
- To maintain records of Controlled Drugs and similar items according to procedures, prepare reports and send them to the relevant parties.
- Maintaining stock accounts daily and preparing reports.
- Issuing items requested by sections daily to the sections, reconciling and completing issue forms and filing them.
- To complete and send the Delivery Form or Goods Receive Form for items obtained by the Hospital or sent by various parties, to the relevant destination.
- Completing dispatch notes for items sent from the hospital to various places, obtaining follow-up forms from the hospital and maintaining files.
- Issuing items received from other parties and institutions for various needs, monitoring and recording them.
- Receiving items sent to the hospital by various parties and sending items that need to be sent from the hospital to various places in accordance with regulations.
- Assisting with important work carried out in the department and working under the direction of senior staff and work supervisors for staff on leave.
- Participating in work carried out for the development of the hospital and practically participating in work carried out by other sections.
- Working to promote cooperation among staff, maintain harmony, participate in work related to staff and participate in various social activities.
- Respecting the general regulations of the hospital.
- Practically participating in health emergencies, pandemic and disaster work and practically participating in primary health care work.
- Requirement of the post
1. Obtaining a Diploma at Level 5 or Level 6 / Advanced Diploma / Associate Degree of the public examination certificates of the Republic of Maldives.

- Copies of educational certificates obtained;
(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.
(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.
6. Copies of documents as specified below demonstrating work experience:
(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.
(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.
(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
Matters to consider in selecting the most suitable candidate for the position
