Main responsibilities and duties of the post
- Assessing the patient and their family history, and physical and mental health status.
- Organising diagnostic tests necessary for diagnosis and providing follow-up care based on the results of those tests.
- Providing base treatment and care to patients, providing counselling and guidance on protection from diseases, and monitoring patients' conditions according to guidelines.
- Assisting in medical procedures and operations necessary for treatment.
- Participating in designing and implementing public health awareness programmes aimed at promoting public health.
- In cases where referral is necessary, referring patients to specialised centres and hospitals necessary for treatment.
- Identifying complications during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period and referring cases that require treatment and referral.
- Recording patients' medical information and providing integrated care based on this information under the guidance of specialist doctors and coordinating with other health workers in the team.
- Assisting relevant government agencies in providing information required by legal and technical obligations and in research and investigations concerning information about patients, deceased persons and notifiable diseases.
- Conducting research to identify the causes of special health conditions and diseases affecting people.
Conducting research on the treatment and care of diseases and publishing the results in scientific reports.
Providing treatment to people seeking health services due to certain harmful effects and providing necessary information to research departments.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.

- Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:
(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.
(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.
(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
