Main responsibilities and duties of the post
- Sending documents to hospitals and other institutions as needed to the Supervisor from time to time.
- Assisting in arranging the duties of teams visiting the health centre and carrying out those tasks forward.
- Filing and maintaining documents sent from the health centre to various parties and documents received by the health centre from various parties in an orderly manner.
- Assisting in awareness programmes run by the Public Health Unit.
- Posting information and regulations that the public needs to know on the health centre's notice board.
- Entering all documents arriving at the office and submitting them to staff, and under the guidance of staff, submitting documents to the sections to which the document should be submitted.
- Responding to phone calls in a courteous manner and providing telephone services in a professional manner
- Facilitating the route through which services can be obtained for those requesting ambulance services, and collecting the prescribed fee
- If any fee is collected from people seeking services at the hospital, issuing a receipt for the fee collected and forwarding it.
- Carrying out work required to provide services under the umbrella, day-to-day transaction of services provided on duty, preparing invoices in accordance with regulations. Maintaining records in accordance with regulations after providing services under a scheme other than the umbrella.
- Passing on problems presented by patients to the doctor and conveying messages from the doctor to the patient, assisting the doctor in matters such as obtaining a basis for examination given to the patient by the doctor,
- Handing over medical certificates issued by the doctor to patients and certificates of health and other documents to the relevant parties responsible for receiving them, and filing and maintaining copies securely
- Before starting work every day, complete the necessary items required for the consultation room and reception counter. If any loss or problem with the equipment and machinery used in the work occurs, immediately report it to the section in-charge or relevant parties daily, keeping the reception counter clean, managing OPD area matters during duty time.
- Preparing and sending reports (communicable disease / NCD report / medical records) in accordance with established rules for proper handling of files of patients receiving services in the health centre's OPD area or records of the health centre to the relevant parties responsible for receiving them
- Daily entering into the patient information system details of patients requiring daily allowance.
- Assisting the doctor in completing necessary documents in the cases of referred patients and assisting in other work related thereto.
- Practically participating in work to be done in health emergencies, pandemics and crises.
Requirements of the post
Having obtained 'O' Level or equivalent qualification in at least 2 subjects with an 'E' grade or above, and 'Dhivehi' in 'C' grade or above in the Secondary School or Higher Secondary School Certificate examination.
Or
Having obtained 'O' Level or equivalent qualification in at least 2 subjects with a 'D' grade or above, and 'Dhivehi' in 'C' grade or above in the Secondary School or Higher Secondary School Certificate examination, with 4 years of work experience in the field of the post's work.

Copies of educational certificates obtained;
(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.
(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.
Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:
(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).
(b) Work carried out where the experience duration is not visible from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter issued by that office stating the position held, the duration of the post (in years, months and days as applicable), and the responsibilities of the post (even if work has been done in different positions in the same office).
(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.
(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.
(b) If employed in a Government established agency, or a registered private company or private agency, or a registered national or international organisation or association, the written confirmation issued by the office stating the position held, duration of employment and (in years, months and days), and job responsibilities (even if work has been carried out in different positions in different departments of one agency), or if no such written confirmation can be obtained, the 'Reference Check Form for Job Applicant' in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
