What you would do

• Support the kitchen team during breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets and other operations as required
• Monitor stock levels of ingredients and inform the Chef de Partie of shortages or spoilage
• Minimize food wastage by using ingredients efficiently and following proper portion control
• Follow all HACCP, food safety, health and safety standards
• Assist with receiving and checking food supplies when required
• Maintain a professional and positive working relationship with colleagues and other departments

What they are looking for

• Previous experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant, pastry or bakery environment
• Basic knowledge of pastry, bakery, dessert preparation and food production
• Knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP and safe food handling practices
• Good teamwork, communication skills and a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
