Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Issuing quotations or obtaining services or work required for procurement in accordance with the government's financial regulations and the procedures set out therein, assigning to the staff issuing quotations.
  2. Among the tasks to be announced and the documents to be obtained, handover of items assigned by a member of the Procurement Unit and the work of obtaining services in accordance with the government's financial regulations and the procedures set out therein.
  3. In relation to office tasks and official requirements, arranging travel matters that need to be arranged by the Procurement Unit among the travel arrangements that need to be made.
  4. Arranging matters that need to be arranged by the Procurement Unit among the arrangements of meetings and inspections that need to be held in the ministry.
  5. Work to be carried out by the Procurement Unit in relation to the inventory of mosques under the administration of this ministry and under this ministry.
  6. Preparing documents relating to procurement in Dhivehi and English, arranging the signing of these documents, sending signed documents to the parties to whom they need to be sent, and filing and maintaining them.
  7. Upon receipt of programme budget and annual activity plan, preparing an annual procurement plan according to the direction of the head of the Procurement Unit and sharing it with the relevant parties.
  8. Opening the office during the office-opening weeks.
  9. Conducting all matters assigned in relation to the office's official work.

Requirements of the post

Having obtained a Level 4 Certificate 4 or Advanced Certificate of the national qualifications framework of the Maldives in a field related to the duties of the position.

  5. Copies of educational certificates obtained;

(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.

  1. Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.

(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
