About the role

The Assistant Finance Manager supports the Director of Finance in daily accounting, financial reporting and budgeting at The Halcyon Private Isles Maldives, Gaafu Alifu Atoll.

What you would do

• Assist in managing daily finance and accounting operations.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, departmental costs, and financial performance.
• Ensure accurate accounting records, reconciliations, and timely financial closing.
• Maintain compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with departments to improve cost control and operational efficiency.
• Support internal and external audits and provide required documentation.
• Assist the Director of Finance/Assistant Director of Finance in achieving the resort's financial objectives.

What they are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years' finance or accounting experience, preferably in luxury hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Experience in month-end closing, reconciliations, and audit procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, integrity, and teamwork.
