Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Carrying out work related to laws and regulations pertaining to matters concerning the administration's employees in accordance with them.
  2. Carrying out work for the proper management of the administration's posts.
  3. Identifying the posts needed to obtain the required employees for the administration, and carrying out the work of appointing and managing employees up to the budgeted amount for those posts.
  4. Identifying the education and training needed to enhance the skills and abilities of the administration's employees, obtaining education and training opportunities, and carrying out the work of providing the necessary education and training to the employees.
  5. Carrying out the work of reviewing grievances submitted by the administration's employees.
  6. Dealing with disciplinary matters arising from the administration's employees.
  7. Carrying out the work of including new employees to the administration's posts in induction programmes.
  8. Carrying out the work of reviewing the quality of the administration's employees' work.
  9. Carrying out the necessary work to provide salary and allowances to the administration's employees at the scheduled time each month.
  10. Carrying out the work of granting the entitled leave to the administration's employees in a manner that does not hinder the work.
  11. Carrying out the work of providing promotion of posts and salary increases to the administration's employees.
  12. Carrying out the necessary work to ensure that every recurring expense of the administration's employees is included in the budget of the coming year.
  13. Carrying out all the work of entering documents received by the Ministry's HR via James and email.

Requirements of the post

  1. Holding a Bachelor's degree or Honours Bachelor's degree at Level 7 or 8 of the Maldives National Qualifications Framework in a field related to the duties of the post.

  5. Copies of educational certificates obtained;

(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.

  1. Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.

(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
