Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  • All work related to cases submitted to the Ministry and CFPs regarding child abuse and neglect or deprivation of rights, and liaise with relevant parties.
  • Support work by conducting necessary home visits and field trips related to matters submitted to the Ministry and C.F.P.S., and monitoring the condition of cases through home visits.
  • Conduct necessary field trips to atolls and monitor the condition of cases by visiting families when required to visit homes, in relation to matters submitted to the Ministry and C.F.P.S.
  • Maintain records of cases submitted to the Ministry and C.F.P.S. in accordance with regulations, prepare reports and forward them to relevant parties.
  • Participate in Sharia court hearings for child-related cases and abide by the principles established in case conferences and maintain consistency in approach.
  • Participate in supervision programmes organised by the Ministry and C.F.P.S.
  • Be accountable to the designated party responsible for matters submitted to the Ministry and C.F.P.S., in accordance with established principles.

Requirements of the post

Possession of a level 5 Diploma or level 6 Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree in a field relevant to the duties of the post from the National Qualification Framework of the Republic of Maldives.

  5. Copies of educational certificates obtained;

(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.

  1. Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.

(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
