Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Identifying and resolving problems with the electrical network of facilities rented by the hospital.
  2. Replacing damaged items such as doors, locks and hinges etc. in facilities rented by the hospital, and repairing those items that need repair among the problematic items.
  3. Providing current when the hospital generator needs to be operated, and performing necessary maintenance and repairs.
  4. Troubleshooting and resolving electrical and technical issues in buildings and adjacent areas, and in addition participating in maintenance section work by assisting other staff members.
  5. Assisting in work that needs to be done at the hospital and in tasks carried out by the hospital.
  6. Performing temporary work assigned on an ad hoc basis in connection with other staff members taking leave.
  7. Assisting in the work of other hospital staff members.
  8. Assisting in the maintenance of machinery and equipment needed for certain projects run or participated in by the hospital.
  9. Compiling a list of machinery and equipment needed by the hospital and sharing it with the supervisor.
  10. Practically participating in work to be done in health emergencies, pandemics and epidemics.

Requirements of the post

  1. Obtaining a level 3 certificate from the relevant authority related to the duties of the post in accordance with the National Qualifications Framework of the Maldives.

  4. If a staff member with a service agreement to serve the Civil Service / Government is transferred to this position, a letter issued by the office providing the service stating that there is no objection to leaving the position.
  5. Copies of educational certificates obtained;

(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.

  1. Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.

(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
