Other allowances

1. Pension contribution available under the Maldives Pension Law.

2. Attendance allowance: MVR 65.00 (sixty-five rufiyaa) per day of attendance.

3. Additional overtime pay according to the principles set for civil service employees and other allowances as prescribed.

Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Opening the incinerator house during scheduled times for waste incineration.
  2. Cleaning the incinerator house waste disposal area.
  3. Maintaining records of items checked during waste receipt.
  4. Separating waste to be incinerated and preparing items for incineration.
  5. Identifying waste to be autoclaved, autocleaving it, preparing it for incineration, and ensuring incineration.
  6. Identifying items to be shredded, shredding them, preparing for incineration, and ensuring incineration.
  7. Emptying and cleaning dust bins.
  8. Reporting to the relevant person if any machine has a problem.
  9. Practical involvement and assistance in the housekeeping work of the hospital.
  10. Practically participating in work to be done in health emergencies, pandemics and epidemics.

Scope of duties of the post

  1. Work to be done in an assistive capacity in the area of providing health services.
  2. Tasks to be performed in the form of assistance in the scope of providing social welfare.

  4. If a staff member with a service agreement to serve the Civil Service / Government is transferred to this position, a letter issued by the office providing the service stating that there is no objection to leaving the position.
  5. Copies of educational certificates obtained;

(a) For educational certificates issued by institutions outside Maldives that have been graded by the Maldives Qualifications Authority at a certain level, copies of the educational certificate and transcript; or: in cases where there is no certificate, a copy of the letter confirming completion of the course and a copy of the assessment report and transcript issued by the Maldives Qualifications Authority.

(b) Copies of educational certificates and transcript issued by local educational institutions in Maldives; or copies of letter confirming completion of the course and copies of transcript.

  1. Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.

(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.
