About the role

Diamonds Athuruga is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Administrator to join the People & Culture team at this luxury island resort in the Maldives.

What you would do

  • Implement and continuously improve People & Culture policies, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and corporate standards.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance management, staff discipline and HR administration aligned with operational needs.
  • Oversee expatriate visa and work permit processes, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Maintain confidentiality and proper filing of employee records, both digital and paper-based.
  • Ensure compliance with compensation policies, benefits, payroll, incentive schemes and accurate reporting through HR systems.
  • Guide and support the Training & Development team in assessing needs and executing the annual Training Plan.
  • Lead employee communications, promote company values and foster positive staff relations.
  • Handle grievances, disciplinary procedures and recognition programmes with fairness and professionalism.
  • Supervise staff accommodation, welfare, transport and related facilities, ensuring health, hygiene and safety standards are met.
  • Provide analysis and HR data insights to support management decision-making.

What they are looking for

  • Hold a degree in HR or related field.
  • 3–5 years of HR experience (minimum 1–2 years in a supervisory role).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of labour law and HR systems.
