Main responsibilities and duties of the post

  1. Cleaning and maintaining ward areas and dressing rooms, consultation rooms, treatment rooms, laboratory rooms and other clinical areas, furniture and machinery
  2. Assisting patients with empathy and care upon admission, and helping admitted patients according to their needs
  3. Before ending duty, cleaning equipment and machines under supervisor's guidance and mopping floors
  4. Keeping and maintaining items taken from stock for use in the laundry in a safe manner and using them properly, and making all necessary requests to ensure items are not in short supply
  5. Assisting daily in cleaning ward areas, pharmacies, guest house, clinical areas and others, and furniture and machinery
  6. If any assigned work is neglected, immediately informing the centre management and the person responsible, and continuing to address it
  7. Cleaning and maintaining the laundry and laundry areas.
  8. When assisting patients, helping with any needs and preparing and providing bed sheets for patient use
  9. Maintaining and caring for used bed sheets, pillows, curtains and other items that need to be laundered.
  10. Cleaning thoroughly once a week the ward areas, laundry and small doors and windows in clinical areas of the building.
  11. Before ending duty, cleaning dust bins and collecting waste from clinical areas of the health centre following the method advised by the centre, safely.
  12. Preparing items to be sterilised according to guidelines.
  13. Assisting patients as porters.
  14. Changing bed sheets in wards and not overcrowding wards with people.
  15. Cleaning the exterior and building surroundings of the health centre.
  16. Maintaining visible items in the health centre.
  17. Cleaning equipment that has been used.
  18. Assisting practically in health emergencies and pandemics and providing care.
  19. Handing over items such as documents to be delivered from the health centre to various parties.

  1. Copies of documents covering the following criteria providing work experience:

(a) If work experience has been gained in a civil service post, in a state institution, in a government-owned company, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(b) For work experience within the civil service that cannot be verified from https://myaccount.csc.gov.mv/, a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period (in years, months and days) confirmed by that office, and stating the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each).

(c) If work experience has been gained in a private company or private organisation, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, the period of work (in years, months and days), the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) and the number of staff at the workplace.

(d) If work has been undertaken in a national or international association or society, a letter from that organisation stating the work undertaken, and the period (in years, months and days), and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each). This letter should state whether the position held is a salaried position or not, or alternatively, an official letter from that organisation confirming this.

(e) If work has been undertaken in a dissolved state institution, or in a dissolved private company or private organisation, or in a dissolved national or international society or association, and a letter from that office stating the work undertaken and the period of work (in years, months and days) and the responsibilities of the post (if work has been undertaken in different posts in one institution, the responsibilities should be stated separately for each) cannot be obtained, the "Reference Check Form for Work Experience from a Dissolved Workplace" found in Table 8 of the Recruitment Rules.

Criteria to be considered for the person to be most suitable for this post

Appointment to the post is made to the applicant if they have obtained a minimum of 60 points out of all the criteria.
